About Red Top Brewing
Hi, I'm Emily, and the vision for Red Top began with a desire to create a space that combined my love of craft beer with the vibrant energy of celebrations. Taking inspiration from the tales of brewers' that turned their passion for home brewing into making beer for a living in their own brewery, I started down my own path to a career in beer. After some further study, getting creative with home brewing, to a job in a commercial brewery, I was well on my way to my own brewery, but fate had something even more unique in store. Enter the 1960 Bedford truck - a means to pour my beers all over Melbourne and Victoria, direct to consumers.
A Vintage Revelation
The search for the perfect vessel led us online, where a beacon of beauty emerged – a lovingly restored 1960 Bedford truck tucked away in the remote north of New South Wales. It was more than just a truck; it was a testament to dedication, a conversation piece waiting to happen. With a twinkle in its headlights, it was destined for a second life filled with joy.
With the blessing of the previous owner/restorer, the adventure began. Together with my amazing husband and some skilled friends, we lovingly transformed the Bedford into the ultimate bar on wheels. Eight taps now dispense a delightful range of beverages – from craft beers you'll love to refreshing ciders and pre-mixed cocktails. A rustic, vintage bar adds character, while the "business side" ensures smooth sailing with two ice bank chillers, a flawless draft system, and everything needed for any event, hot water for sparkling glasses included.
